Norman police say someone broke into three marked law enforcement vehicles in southeast Norman and stole rifles and tactical gear. The vehicles included one from the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department and two from the Norman Police Department. It happened during the early morning hours of February 19th. The person or persons stole a Sheriff's Department jacket, a Kevlar helmet, a black tactical vest and two AR-15 assault rifles with attached accessories. The rifles are easily identifiable. They both have the Norman Police Department patch engraved on the lower receivers. Anyone with information is asked to call the Norman Crime Stoppers Hotline at 405-366-7867. A cash reward may be issued if the information leads to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
