Shania Twain hit Sin City over the weekend to launch her Vegas show Shania: Still the One at Caesars Palace. Vancouver Sun called the production “a big-budget, mass-appeal Las Vegas spectacle that still somehow felt personal, and always uniquely Twain’s.” The 100-minute show chronicled Shania’s rise to fame and included roughly eight costume changes, as well as a duet with her sister Carrie-Ann.

“I’m Gonna Getcha Good” was the opening number of Shania’s first live performance in eight years. Wearing a sequined black catsuit, she made her grand entrance riding atop a glistening motorcycle that hovered high above the crowd.  The set list included “From This Moment On,” “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”

At one point during the show, she said, “You guys are going to get me all emotional, and then my eyelashes are going to fall off...This is an overwhelming night. It’s been a lot of years for me since I’ve been here. I realize what I’ve been missing, thanks to you.”

Shania has nine more shows through December 15th. The next engagement opens March 19th.
