With new intelligence suggesting that Syria may use chemical weapons in its battle with rebel forces, the U.S. has issued a stern warning on Monday.
President Obama, addressing his remarks at Syrian President Bashar Assad said, "The world is watching. The use of chemical weapons is, and would be, totally unacceptable. And if you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons, there will be consequences, and you will be held accountable."
Obama's comments come as it appears that after nearly two years the rebels are gaining ground against Assad's forces.
