Heisman Trophy history was made Saturday -- Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel became the first freshman to win college football's biggest individual honor.

Manziel, who set a single-season SEC record for total yardage, beat out Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o [pr: man-TIE TAY-oh] and Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein. He said, "I have been dreaming about this since I was a kid, running around the backyard pretending I was Doug Flutie, throwing Hail Marys to my dad."

Manziel -- known to much of America as Johnny Football -- is just the second A&M player to win the award, after John David Crow in 1957.
