The holiday season is in full swing. Just ask FedEx. The shipping company had their busiest day in history on Monday.
Manager Alex Johnson explained, "With the Internet now, that volume is just flying off the hook."
On Monday afternoon, FexEx said it had shipped an estimated 19 million packages, which marks a 10 percent increase over their busiest day last year. All those packages meant more work, so the company brought in 20,000 seasonal hires to deal with the record 280 million packages it expects to deliver worldwide between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
