Kenny Chesney has one week left of vacation before the No Shoes Nation tour rehearsals begin next week. Rehearsals start next Wednesday at an undisclosed location for what is being billed at Kenny’s biggest tour to date. Pre-production work began last month, with Kenny overseeing the schematics of lighting rigs and other show elements.
He says, “I used to say we’re like a baseball team: six months on, six months off, because I love baseball so much. But the truth is, what we do to create what people see from a show this size out there on the road really does take a lot of work, a lot of thought and a lot of practice.”
Kenny is in Los Angeles Friday, participating in the sold-out MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Bruce Springsteen. The event will also feature performances by Zac Brown, Emmylou Harris, Faith Hill, Natalie Maines and Tim McGraw. The No Shoes Nation tour kicks off March 16th in Tampa with Eric Church, Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves.
