Beginning next month, you'll be able to fly with your small pocketknife and your wiffle ball bat and ball, a hockey stick and even a few golf clubs.
The TSA announced Tuesday that for the first time since 2001, passengers will be allowed to carry pocketknives on a plane, if the retractable blade is less than 2.36 inches long and no wider than one-half inch. Flight attendants are not pleased with the changes, although TSA maintains the new rules put the U.S. in line with other countries.
This marks a major change in the rules that have been in place since the September 11th terrorist attacks. However, some items, including fixed-blade knives, box cutters and full-sized baseball bats remain in the no-fly zone.
The new rules go into effect on April 25th.
