As we wrap up the first week of my "Great Mom Finds" for you, I couldn't help caving in to the requests for real stress relief! Seems to be one thing we can ALL RELATE TO! There is so little time for us, especially at the Holidays, for ourselves right?!
It's a common theme more now than ever... So when was the last time you did something great for yourself that actually felt good?! Yes, some of my friends think things like going to the gym or eating vegetarian favorites accomplish this goal. Um.. That's great, but NOT ME SISTER! If I ever get even the smallest window of "me time" (which is still normally used watching some kids show in a couch-dog-pile with my little munchkins & the family dog), however is there anything better than a good facial?! It is so relaxing you can actually visualize the stress melting off, AND say to yourself, this is so good for me too?! There is nothing worse than going somewhere when you do finally do get the time & $ and it just isn't good! Atleast with Lisa's Belle deJour, I can say w/out a shadow of a doubt, it is FABULOUS!
Wish I could do it everyday! So one thing to consider... Taking time for yourself is not only fun and relaxing... It can be necessary! We have so many pressures on us and yet so many people that rely on us. You wouldn't choose to run your car down, right before a big race would you? Yet you are a champion, so take care of your um... "motor!" Car analogies aside, it's why the airlines have always taught us to put the mask on our face, before other. Because if we are in tip top shape, we'll be better for everyone around us! As I'm typing this, my husband over my sholder is snickering and sighing "if only my wife and the mother of my children would practice what she preaches" under his breath! AGREED! It's tough to do, however if it feels as good as Lisa's Facials, it's a whole lot easier to make the time!
I challenge you to do that at least once, during Chistmastime this year! Let's make a pact, shall we?! I'll encourage you and you can stay on me. Sounds better coming from you, rather than "Mr-Told-You-So" behind me here! Ha Ha
