The last two weeks have certainly proved to me it is indeed much better to give than to receive! My thanks again to all of the wonderful folks who have helped me share these "Great Mom Finds" over the last two weeks! They further secured my choice in their phenomenal products or great customer service, as they each chose to add to the fun by blessing my friends here on the blog and share with many of you!
To wrap this series... FOR NOW... I thought it would be fun, in light of the Holidays to share the light of this season! First by reminding you, that no matter how busy you get and how crazy the time flies by, the season is and will always remain BRIGHT! Bright is celebrating the birth of our Christ... Our SAVIOUR... with all the joy and symbolism of this HOLY Day. Second, no matter which Holiday you and your family observe (don't want to be insensitive to our friends from other faiths, cuz we love you too!) we recognize there is a special light in each one of us during these very special few days! Even that cranky woman that jumped in front of you at Target to grab the last Furbie! So after calling her a ^&*%%$ under your breath as you wheel by with your squeeky shopping cart, the truth remains what we will actually remember after the last ornament and bow are put away, is that amazing feeling of joy from this Bright Season! Finally, the light in our homes and the homes where our Christmas celebrations take place, give such a bright feeling of warmth and peace that again, is quite frankly indescribable! Look into a child's eyes, as he looks up at a lit Christmas tree... That awesome look of wonder and happiness says it all, doesn't it?
Well there is very little that anyone can do to mirror those miracles of the season, however I can tell you, the comment "home is where the heart is" is very meaningful and it is my prayer my kids will have that same incredible memory of our home together and remind them of our most pleasant memories, especially at Christmastime, as I had growing up. What I try to cultivate are special sights with things that celebrate our family traditions. I use heirlooms, particular sentimental decorations and ornaments that only come out this one time per year… Even now our Shelf Elf has become a family tradition! Also I work to make the smells our family smells in our home special. I cook and bake around the Holidays, so those smells hopefully give a warm feeling that inspires great memories with my family and I LOVE LOVE LOVE all those neat new warmer fragrances that immediately evoke a beautiful feeling that has become quite familiar to my family.
I'm introducing you to one of my BFF's, Tracy Underwood who also is my Scentsy "pusher!" I call her that, because I've become a litte addicted I believe. I love the way my home smells... Unless that ding dang Chihuahua of ours poops on the rug (sorry, but it happens) and changes the way our home smells. But even in that, what a nice replacement a fresh Scensy bar in our warmer can change everything! They are lovely to look at and even put off a warmth in their glow. It is like clockwork that I flip mine on when I step into our evening routine, after the kids get home from school. So much so, that if I ever get sidetrack with a call from work or a client (I'm no doctor, but you would be surprised how often we get a call that there is an "URGENT commercial that must be produced RIGHT NOW!" ha ha That's how I justified building a studio in my house!) My daughter will turn it on now, if she sees I haven't.
Here are some of the lastest warmers for the Holidays I was thinking about purchasing from Tracy. She is so sweet! (I am weak and will probably end up buying both... lol) But chose one and if your comment is chosen, you may get your choice in your home for the Holidays too! LUCKY.. I'm so jealous and yet like I said earlier, I have loved playing the part of Santa's helper these last two weeks! Afterall all, I am "elf sized" might as well play the part right?!
